Two thresholds stand between a reader and a first copy: the broker's minimum deposit and the strategy's minimum investment. This page counts both on the pages read on 6 November 2026 and explains the one rule about withdrawals that surprises people. It gives no amount to put in, because none of the pages read does.

Two different minimums

The broker sets a minimum deposit for opening or funding an account. The provider sets a minimum investment for the strategy: the least that can be allocated to start copying it. They are separate numbers on separate pages, and a reader has to clear both. The strategy's minimum is in dollars on every card read, which is why the next page looks at what a naira account changes.

The broker list printed for FxPro a minimum deposit of USD 100. The strategy cards printed their own minimums, counted below.

The minimum investment printed on the 20 cards

Each strategy card on cTrader's symbol pages prints a minimum investment in US dollars. The table counts the cards in four bands; no card is named. The cards run from USD 100 to USD 50,000. Source: ctrader.com/copy/symbols (gold, bitcoin and euro pages), read on 6 November 2026.

What the counts say, and what they do not

6 of the 20 cards print a minimum of USD 100 or less, and the highest is USD 50,000. A low minimum is a rule about the least that can be allocated; it says nothing about how much of a reader's money a copy ought to take, and the pages read give no such amount. This site does not give one either. The only measure the pages supply is the equity ratio, set out on the first page of this guide.

The withdrawal rule

The help pages state that the amount in a copy-trading account must stay equal to or above the strategy's minimum investment while copying goes on, so only the part above the minimum can be taken out. To take out everything, copying has to be stopped first and the funds removed after that. A reader who allocates exactly the minimum therefore has nothing that can be withdrawn without stopping.

Removing funds has a second effect that the page also states: some unrealised performance and management fees are realised in proportion to the amount withdrawn, and the amount is shown at the bottom of the Remove funds window before the click.

How a change of balance moves the positions

Because the rule is a ratio, a change on either side moves the size of what is open. When the follower adds funds, the page says existing positions can change as sizes are recalculated. When the provider adds own funds, the platform decreases the follower's positions; when the provider withdraws, it increases them. The page warns that a provider depositing or withdrawing with positions open can cause losses on investors' copy accounts. The follower does not control the provider's balance, and the pages read give no way to see it in advance.

The volume fee is not charged when positions are recalculated because of a deposit or withdrawal.

Where the broker list stands on leverage

The broker list also prints a maximum leverage. Of the 24 copy-flagged entries, 3 print 1:30 and 18 print 1:500 or more; FxPro printed 1:30. The help page connects leverage to copying: a follower whose leverage is lower than the provider's may lack margin to copy every trade and may reach a stop out earlier. A stop out is the broker closing positions because the margin is no longer enough.

Beginner questions, answered from the pages

Is the strategy's minimum the amount to put in?

No. It is the least that can be allocated. The pages read give no amount to allocate and neither does this site.

Can I take back everything while copying?

No. The help page says only the part above the minimum investment can be withdrawn; to withdraw all, copying must be stopped.

Does the broker's minimum deposit replace the strategy's minimum?

No. They are two separate thresholds on two pages.

What does the follower not control?

The provider's own deposits and withdrawals, which change the size of the follower's positions.
