The account behind the copy

The FxPro account and the cTrader Copy service

This site is not the broker and takes no money from the reader. The account it links to is with FxPro, which cTrader's own list marks as copy-enabled. A copied trade is a leveraged contract on a price, not ownership of anything.

What a copied trade is

FxPro offers contracts for difference, so what a follower holds after a copy is a contract on a price. The follower does not own the share, the currency or the metal the price belongs to. Leverage makes the position larger than the margin put up for it, so a loss grows in the same proportion as a gain would.

cTrader's broker list, read on 6 November 2026, printed for FxPro a copy flag, a maximum leverage of 1:30, a minimum deposit of USD 100 and 13 currencies, the naira among them. It did not print whether the copy service is open to residents of any country.

What cTrader says about availability

The broker page says cTrader Copy availability depends on local regulations and on the broker, and that availability may be restricted in some regions. It asks the reader to check with the selected broker before opening an account. This site cannot say whether the service is open to a resident of Nigeria, and the question goes to FxPro.

Questions to put in writing before depositing

Which company holds the account, and under which authorisation? Does the copy service work for a resident of Nigeria? Can a demo account follow a strategy? Which payment methods are accepted from Nigeria, with what conversion and charge? What happens to the open positions and the unrealised fees if copying stops? Answers in writing are worth keeping; the pages of this site are not a substitute for them.

An FxPro account is held with a firm outside Nigeria: the group is regulated by the FCA in the United Kingdom and by CySEC in Cyprus, and holds no licence from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Nigeria. The safeguards that come with a Nigerian licence therefore do not cover it. Foreign currency sent abroad to trade is governed by the Central Bank of Nigeria's foreign exchange rules. Nothing here is investment advice. On 6 November 2026 cTrader's own broker list printed these regulators for FxPro: FCA UK; SCB - SIA Bahamas. Whether FxPro's copy service is open to a resident of Nigeria is something to ask FxPro.
