Naira, dollars and the bank

Every minimum on the cTrader pages is in US dollars, and the step between a naira balance and those dollar figures is the subject of this page. It records what the cTrader list prints about currencies, names the layers between the two, and says plainly which of them this site did not read. Read 6 November 2026.

What the pages are written in

The 20 strategy cards print their minimum investment in US dollars. The volume fee cap is in US dollars too, USD 10 per million copied. The performance and management caps are percentages. The help page on fees adds one currency rule: the copy-trading fees are converted to the provider's account currency before they are paid to the provider.

What the help pages say about a strategy whose currency differs from the investor's account currency was not found on the pages read. The Details section is described as showing the strategy's currency, leverage and copying conditions, and that is the full extent of it.

What the broker list prints about currencies

Each broker entry on cTrader's list carries a list of currencies. The table counts the 24 copy-flagged entries by whether their list contains each currency named. Source: ctrader.com/copy/brokers, read on 6 November 2026.

What the count means

1 of the 24 copy-flagged entries list the naira, and it is FxPro. The list does not say what the entry means by listing it, so this site says only that the naira is on FxPro's list of currencies, 13 in all on the day it was read. It does not say how a naira account is funded, what the conversion costs or whether the copy service works with it.

What was not read: the Central Bank of Nigeria

No page of the Central Bank of Nigeria was read for this site, and no rule of the bank about foreign currency, transfers abroad or payments for trading is described here. A reader who plans to send money from Nigeria to a broker abroad can ask the bank that holds the naira, and the broker, in writing, what applies to that payment and what documents each of them wants. Their answers are the source; this site is not.

Where money is taken or converted on the way in and out

Questions for the bank and the broker

Which payment methods does the broker accept from Nigeria, and in which currency is the account held? At what rate is the naira converted, and does the bank or card provider add a charge? Is there a charge for withdrawing, and in which currency does the money come back? Does the bank ask for a purpose or a document for a payment to a foreign trading firm? The questions are written down so that the answers can be too. A copy is a contract on a price in a foreign currency, and each conversion on the way in and out is a cost the strategy card does not include.

The broker this site links to

This site links to FxPro, which cTrader's list marks as a copy-enabled broker. A copied trade is a leveraged contract on a price, not ownership of anything. Read the terms before you decide anything.
